Managers who handle the hard conversations themselves
A 12-week leadership programme for managers in tech companies, measured in week 1 and week 12.
Who it's for
CTOs and Heads of Engineering, HR Directors and Heads of People, and Heads of L&D whose managers pass hard conversations up instead of having them.
How the quarter runs
- Weeks 1–2: ratings and a count of people issues, then a 3–4 page starting-point report.
- Weeks 3–11: five 90-minute group sessions on real conversations, with practice between sessions.
- Alongside: 1:1 coaching for two or three managers you name, or for you.
- Week 12: ratings and count repeated, with a report on what changed.
What I measure
- 1. People issues that reach you each week.
- 2. One-to-ones held without anyone chasing.
- 3. The gap between how a manager rates themselves and how others rate them.
